This is the first thing in our childhood that signifies freedom. The freedom to travel anywhere at our own will, explore places and meet new people. The boy’s home at present does not have any cycle thereby restricting the movement of the inmates. The Children have to always depend on others for their needs or travel to nearby places. Their world gets confined to the walls of the institute thereby disintegrating them from the society. The Boy’s home at present has no cycle for the inmates. As stated by inmate “We see our classmates coming to school by cycle moving around and going to different playgrounds in the evening whereas we have a hired jeep for picking us and dropping us to the school. We see our friends going for outings during weekends whereas for us the institute playground is the only outing we can have.” A cycle can make a difference in their lives as they will feel closer to the society rather than feeling isolated in the institute compound.
