Observation Home for Boys is a short-stay home for juveniles in conflict with law. They are children who face inquiry by the Juvenile Justice Board under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act and Amendment Act 2000 and 2006. Boys under 18 years of age in conflict with law are admitted to these homes by police. The home provides non-formal education and vocational trainings to juveniles with regular counselling to overcome their trauma. Also, it provides proper care, protection and treatment by catering to their developmental needs and by adopting a child-friendly approach in adjudication and disposition of matters.
