Project 4 N
Maintenance through Public Participation:
‘Oh! What a road is this? One should see the roads in Singapore, UK etc…’ The list of cities go up. We do curse the roads, the authorities and drive on.
Project 4N is a drive to involve the public to help identify roads in disarray while the district administration play the role of a facilitator by finding sponsors and well wishers to take up minor repair woks mainly pot holes filling.
The first phase was a trial period of two weeks before the onset of monsoon to assess the cost and processes involved. We could find sponsors for the trial run and now the project is in the process of setting up a monitoring committee for quality control.
